recapping night one of the NFL draft, JP, we came in billing it as a wild one.

As one of the more interesting classes, a night one that we said, no one knows what's going to happen.

And I think it lived up to the hype in that regard.

This is the very first time, and I'm going to say probably the last time in my final mock, I got more picks correct between 20 and 30 than I did between 1 and 10, which to me was just so indicative of how crazy this year's draft was. We got a lot of ways we can go. I'm going to open the floor to you.

What do you want to talk about from what was a wild night one? So do we want to talk about the Rams first and the entire like Ty Simpson of it all? Because I think that is genuinely

one of, if not the most shocking draft pick I've ever seen covering the NFL

draft. I mean, when you look at what the Rams are when it comes to being a Super Bowl team

on the cusp of actually going and doing it and going and winning another Super Bowl, but

they were also feeling like they were putting one foot into the future. Ty Simpson at 13 feels like the antithesis of everything that the Rams have been going for

and wanting in the quarterback spot.

So the reason that I say that is with the 2018, 2019, like 2020 Rams, the Rams offense that everyone says, like, Ty Simpson is a perfect

scheme fit for. Sean McVeigh got away from Jared Gough and traded from Matthew Stafford because

he didn't want somebody who he had to hold his hand for the offense to work to sort of, like,

draw everything up to a T. He wants someone who could create someone with those

elite like top tier skills. Ty Simpson, well, I do think he has shown he can throw the ball over

the middle with confidence. I think he can scramble for like seven yards on a third and six.

I just don't think he has that overwhelming athletic trait that makes him somebody you say like,

yeah, we'll let you sit and develop.

But because when you think about those players, those guys that get the sit and develop type

of time, you think of Jordan Love, who is 6'4, 230, and has one of the strongest arms
