Max Claire out of Ohio State and before that Purdue feels like one of the most underrated

prospects in this class that I've evaluated any position.

I'm really excited about this tight end.

The more that I watch him, the more that dig into his Purdue film, it becomes pretty clear

to me that the Ohio stateness of it all when it comes to his analytical profile is suppressing the

optimism that people have for this prospect in terms of how he can translate as a receiver

at the NFL level. And I don't really think that that makes any sense. You know, we, I think

most people are fine contextualizing the slightly underwhelming

nature of Cardinal Tate's receiving profile by saying, well, he's playing next to a massive

target hog, one of the best receiving prospects that we've seen in a long, long time in Jeremiah

Smith.

So then when it comes to this tight end in his first year at Ohio State, he's got a lot to

contend with when it comes to getting targets.

So I think it's only, you know, an only natural really that he was just a small function of the offense.

Um, and I don't, I don't think that it's really fair to react strongly to the metrics as a result of that.

So then what do we react to? Um, I think the film is awesome. If you check out my

Twitter, you'll see lots of that. I talked about his film yesterday with Dan Schneier on our

full-length episodes. We went through the entire time in position. I gave my top 12 rankings

for fantasy and gives him analysis on each of them, film and data related. I love Claire's

movement ability. I get why people compare him to Sam Laporta. I think that he does move sort of like Leporta as a player who can win

routes.
