All right, it is time to party like it's 1999.

Sadly, Tim Duncan was actually 23 when he led the San Antonio Spurs into the

1999 NBA Finals as perhaps the league's best player against the New York Knicks.

But other than that, some stark similarities on the San Antonio Spurs side.

However, this Knicks team may be a little bit different than that grinded out bunch at the nadir of NBA offense in the 1999 season.

So, so we're talking about these teams actually played three times this year because the NBA Cup was quite prescient in predicting

the finals apparently. And Knicks were two and one against San Antonio. So I guess before we

talk really nitty gritty here, let's think about what took place during those three games. And to you,

obviously any team going two and one against this San Antonio outfit, all three of the games included Victor Wemdiyamo, though he came off the bench in two of them.

But is there something about this Nick's team that particularly troubles San Antonio in your eyes?

They have a lot of different offensive players who can do something with the ball in her hands.

That makes any team a challenge.

And the Knicks are, they're typically, the Spurs don't force the Tunders servers, but the Knicks also are generally pretty buttoned up.

They were, they ended the regular season 10th, but I think in some of their best lineups, they can do a

really good job.

It was something I talked about breaking down their unbelievable run to the NBA finals.

And Brunson is, he's kind of an unperturbable guy in certain respects, and they have

shooting at a lot of spots.

They can go to some potent lineups out there.

And then defensively, they definitely have weak spots, but they aren't as egregious points

of failure.

So, yeah, I think there are some things that make the Knicks a tougher matchup than some
