Well, that is certainly a basketball game.

I will not be forgetting for quite a long time, but the New York Knicks all of a sudden, unbelievably clutch.

The San Antonio Spurs all of a sudden, unbelievably not.

Despite an awesome 14-0 run in the fourth quarter, Knicks had the run of play, and then an epic all-time blunder by Victor Wembeyanma.

At the end, gave Jalen Brunson two free throws.

He made one of them, and that was the difference in this.

And we'll talk about all the possessions in this game.

We're going to go through it in painstaking detail down the end to talk about exactly how

that 14-0 run happened and then how, in fact, the Knicks were able to survive.

But I think we could just start with some of our big themes here, Danny.

What sticks out to most of you?

Despite the Spurs having that 14-0 run to get back into contact, they were trailing with

six minutes and four seconds to go.

They were trailing 97-83.

It looked like they were pretty dead in the water.

And then they had this perfect run, which will break down in detail later on.

I thought that the Knicks, not only did the Knicks have the run of play during most of this

game, the Spurs run did not illustrate a fundamental change in dynamic that I think is going to be able to carry over to games three and beyond, where it wasn't, oh, they solved something, they got to this thing, it got them too late, it was too late for them to get the win in this game, but they figured it out and they'll have it for the rest of the series. I thought the Knicks were just the better team overall.

I agree with that. I did think there was something in the run, though, and that something was that Stefan Castle was not on the floor, and they gave the ball to Deere and Fox as their point guard to attack and to attack Jalen Brunson. And there is, of course, a frenetic feel to runs like that. And the Knicks also, we can talk about how bad their process was offensively, although they also missed a couple of pretty decent shots as well.

But to me, and then the unfortunate thing was during that run, Fox, we talked about how

vulnerable that high ankle sprain is and it'll kind of get better and

better. He's looked mostly better and better since he heard it, but if it's not totally healed,
