| 0:00.0 | Hello everyone, welcome back to Subpar with Colt Nost and Drew Stoltz. |
| 0:14.0 | The 90th playing of the Masters tournament is in the books and history was made. |
| 0:18.0 | Roy McElroy becoming just the fourth guy ever to go back to back at the Masters. What a performance by him. It was a wild weekend around Augusta National Golf Club, Sleys. It was a wild one, and I think after Friday night, we probably didn't expect that. Or I didn't expect that, I should say. You and I were texting everyone in the golf world. Six-shot lead. Rory looked to be on all-sill. You know, things were going pretty good at the time. I did not think we'd get to the second nine on Sunday with eight guys within three shots of the lead. But Rory, you know, tough Saturday. Great Friday. Birdie's six of the last seven. Scotty goes bogey-free on the weekend, ends up losing by a shot, which when he goes back and looks at it, I mean, hard to believe. That's one shot. One of those short puts goes in, but, man, he held on. He has a knack for making this thing, like making runaway victories difficult. He used to just win by eight back in his 20s, and now they get close, which is good for us in television watching because I thought it might be a snoozer. Yeah, I'll be honest. I thought he played his way out of it right there early on Sunday when he made the double bogey at the fourth hole. He three putted from six feet. I thought he was going to be in a lot of trouble there, but he battled back. I mean, he is resilient. Say what you want about him, but I mean, the man never gives up. We had so many guys that looked like they're going to have a chance to win between Cam Young, Justin Rose, Russell Henley, made a massive move there on Sunday. But in the end, Roy McRoy hit the shots he needed to. But like you said, it was far from over it. Even though he had a three-shot lead with just a couple to play there, I mean, 16, he had the huge, well, let's go back to 15, where I thought the wedge was going to go in the water. Yeah. 16, the incredible lag putt that broke 25 feet that he lagged down there to tap in range, misses the green on 17. And yeah, it's an easy up and down on a Thursday. But when you're trying to win your second green jacket, it's a little more difficult. And then 18. I mean, hits it nine miles right. Good thing, he hit at nine miles and not right, not eight miles right. Or he would have been in a lot more trouble. Yeah. But was able to get it there in that front green side bunker and then, |
| 2:23.1 | you know, splash it out and two putt his way to victory. But man, it was, it never disappoints the Masters. It was so much fun to be there to be a part of the coverage, |
| 2:27.2 | sitting in 14 Tower all week. Only 27 hours of coverage, Lease. That's all. That's all. |
| 2:33.0 | I feel shortchanged at the end of the week. |
| 2:34.9 | I got a question regarding 18 because I, Rory drove it like he was, I think, 53rd out of 54 going into the weekend in terms of accuracy. It was not accurate off the tee. He was blowing it in the trees. Friday I thought he got away with a ton. It was hitting clanging trees, |
| 2:49.8 | fairways, ended up making birdie. |
| 2:51.3 | You know, snap hook on 17, |
| 2:52.7 | got an angle, |
| 2:53.3 | chips it down there to the far right. He got away with a ton. It was hitting clanging trees, fairways, ended up making bird, you know, snap hook on 17, got an angle, |
| 2:53.3 | chips it down there to the far right, holds it, you know, stuff like that. I was like, man, he escaped. He got away with a lot of stuff today. Going in, trying to close that thing out on 17, for the first time the entire week, I saw him hit that little, like, I don't know if he teed it down or what, |
| 3:06.6 | but he hit this little low bullet. |
| 3:08.5 | Bullet. |
| 3:09.0 | I mean, and it went for, it went forever. |
| 3:10.7 | Of course, |
| 3:11.0 | he missed the green and then had to get up and down as he likes to make it interesting. But I was like, dude, I mean, I don't know how far that went, but I'm like, where that one feels like a good one if you're just trying to get one in play on eight you just did it on 17 why not tee that thing |
| 3:24.6 | down at that low bullet like worst case okay goes in if it chases to one good one if you're just trying to get one in play on eight you just did it on 17 why not tee that thing |
| 3:24.7 | down at that low bullet like worst case okay it goes in if it chases to one of those bunkers okay it's probably not getting into the top part of it where the lips in any sort of issue but he teed it up and when the shot tracer went out there i was like oh maybe it's maybe it glitched again like roses on 13. But it was way the hell over there. And you're right. Like, we've seen on hell Cabrera be in jail. |
| 3:44.1 | It could have again, like roses on 13. But it was way the hell over there. |
| 3:41.4 | And you're right. |
| 3:41.9 | Like, we've seen on hell Cabrera be in jail. It could have been, like, it's not far-fetched for that to be an unplayable. Why? You know what I mean? Catch that. Yeah, I got it. And he's, but, I mean, he played a great shot. Hit it in the bunker. I had a pretty shit lie. |
