The only argument against Derek Henry is if he gets hurt.

That's the only argument.

And yet we sat here at the beginning of the show and said the only argument against

Christian McCaffrey is if he gets hurt.

So why are we killing Derek Henry for the same exact reason that we just argued

that Christian McCaffrey could be the number three running back?

I disagree with that because I think that his overall upside,

especially at this point of his career,

is at a different point than it was six years ago when he was just playing 98% of the snaps for

the Titans because he doesn't quite have the same four touchdown a game in December upside

that he did in some of those outlier years.

Like looking at his expected points, he overachieved last year, but he scored almost 17

fantasy points per game.

And that was on 1.2 targets per game.

Like that is always going to be the drawback that, yeah, he averages the most touches

inside the five yard line per game of any player, most inside the 10.

That needs to keep up just to keep him at where he's at right now.

Because he still, Ian, went over his baseline of expected points. In terms of expected points

versus what he did in reality, he was 2.9 points better than his expected points would suggest.

And expected points, he was behind Josh Jacobs, Cam Scadaboo, Travis E.T.N. Kiron Williams, that that feels like

more of his. Now, obviously, we have to add context to why he scored more points than those guys.

And I will have him over those guys. But it feels like his baseline tier is more around those guys
