right? We know it's going to be Fernando Mendoza. But lead up to the draft here. I mean, first off,

any big thoughts we got here going into this, the first, you know, few picks?

It feels like last year where it's understated how special this is for the Raiders organization, where Cam Moore didn't get that hype last year because people got bored of the number one pick. It feels like that all over again. Fernando Mendoza, I know you love him. You've put him in an upper tier of quarterback tiers over the years. Sure. And for the Raiders, this gives them a hope that it feels like they just haven't had in a really long time. Yeah, I mean, yeah, and we'll talk more about Mendoza. I'm excited for him and, of course, the fit. And when they make the official pick here, we'll break that down too. Early in the draft, though, we're like, what's going to happen? Yep. Arvel Reese, where's he going to go? Is he going to go number two to the Jets? The David Bailey conversation, Jeremiah Love, is somebody going to take him in the top five? I mean, there's a scenario for my G-men. They could have, be on the, they could be sitting there at number five going, Arvel Reese and Jeremiah Love are here in some way, right? So I think it really picks three, three, four, and five are going to be

really interesting to see what happens here. And I think that's what I'm, I'm pumped about. Right. And then if Reese doesn't go at two, does that cause a crazy trade? Right. There's so much rumor. George Pickin signed his franchise tag today. Yep. So now you can move him. I don't know that's likely to be a big move by Dallas.

But I think the story of this draft is going to be all of the movement in pretty high places.

Six teams to have two first round picks. We know there's some teams that will be willing to be aggressive. So yeah, I think pick two, three, and four are going to dictate a lot of the top 10 here. And you know, like you talked about with with Fernando Mendoza, the pick's getting ready right now.

It's the least talked about number one pick, maybe in the history of football. I mean, really,

it's been such a foregone conclusion. For so long. And here we are now with our man, Roger Goodell,

about to make the pick. And it's going to be the Las Vegas Raiders.

Taking Fernando. Fernando Mendoza. As we expected, awesome for him. And, you know, I do say, I mean,

first off, I think it's a perfect fit. Play action passer. He did a lot of that at Indiana,

like we talked about. It's Clint Kubiak, the Raiders. They're going to run that Shanahan system. We saw last year, Sam Donald, up in Seattle. They ran a ton of play action pass. I think Mendoza's made for that. His size, his ability to throw in the pocket. And also being able to read coverages and dissect them, what I thought, like, as quick as anybody I'd really ever evaluated coming out in the draft. Yeah, I mean, this was somebody that at Cal the year before took 40 sacks. He completely got that number down. He's improved so much just what he's seeing, Chris, like you said, the big arm play action. Almost feels like they married the coaching hire, knowing that he was their future, which I love.

You have the GM in place. Marry the head coaching hire to the future of your organization, and that is Fernando Mendoza. Yeah, we'll see. They got to get some support for him. We know that the Raiders got a lot of work to do here. But it's the first time the Raiders have a guy where you just go, wait, It's been a while.
