I'm your host, Miko, and in today's podcast, we are going to be covering a list of different topics.

1:12.7

First and foremost, we are going to be, in fact, grading the Lions offseason when looking

1:16.5

at the defense. If you missed the podcast last week, we actually did this exact same thing with

1:20.4

the offense, where we went through every single offensive addition and subtraction from

1:24.8

the roster and kind of just talked about where the Lions roster sits at this current moment and how we're kind of grading it. We're going to do the exact same thing for the defense. So if you haven't listened to last week's episode, you can listen to this one, go back to last week's episode and get a full like pretty much snapshot of what the team should look like. Before we jump into that though, we are also joined by our amazing co-host, but I've got our senior editor over at pride to Detroit.com, Ryan Matthews at Ryan underscore POD. Ryan, how's your week been, or at least how's been the start of your week so far? Start of the week just got better because I'm here with you guys. Look, heart emojis all in the chat. Yeah, good. No, man.

2:01.0

No, same here. It's awesome to be with you guys. I swear, it feels like I know we do this podcast once a week, and maybe it's because I didn't do any additional content last week, but it feels like it's been even longer since the last time. I talked to anybody about the line, so it's going to be exciting to have some continued conversation about the team. Also joining us is your editor-in-chief over at pride detroit.com as well as Lions Beat Rider. Jeremy Rizman at Detroit Online over there on Twitter. Jeremy, how are you feeling, my guy? I'm feeling great, not only because I get to spend it with you guys, but with our lovely, lovely live chat as well. See, now they get some love too. See, look, the love is just being passed around to everybody. It's awesome. I guess there's like an overflow from Mother's Day. A shout out to all the moms that listen to this podcast because we do actually attract that audience. So shout out to everyone. Hope you all had an amazing Mother's Day. We're recording this on Monday. So hopefully Sunday was a nice relaxing time for you. Jeremy, there is a lot to talk about. Like I said, we are going to talk about grading the Lions defense. But before we get to that, there is some news, at least a little bit of news, I guess, to kind of preview. And that is that this is schedule release week. So there is going to be a number of leaks. There's a number of information that is already starting to come out. In regards to not just the lion schedule, but to the overall schedule for the entire league,

3:11.3

I think one thing that's already been kind of released, but we're at least getting a little bit

3:14.8

more clarity, is the Lions game in Germany this year. The Lions actually will be playing

3:19.4

in an international game, and the date for that has been officially released. The Lions will be playing November 15th at 9.30 a.m. Eastern time. We still don't know who exactly they're playing yet, but that's at least a little bit of information on at least one game that the Lions have on their schedule this year. Yeah, I mean, it's important to get that date out though, right? So people can start booking their trips if they want to go. That's, I guess, the main appeal of the lines playing in Germany. I'll say this, I have already booked my trip. I do plan on going, assuming something terrible doesn't happen, I guess. I don't know why I'm putting that even out there. But yeah, no, it's, it's an important date to set the wheels and motions for people's plans, but I will say, and I think this is true.

4:00.9

I think it's the last international game on the slate. And it's pretty bad luck for the Lions to fall on that date because now we have a little bit more clarity on why Rod would never put in a request to get a buy week after the international

4:15.1

game. And I think that's because he knew they weren't going to get it. Because if you think
