Thursday morning after all the Appalachian words used yesterday. I enjoyed the show, dude. What's

going on? Good to see you again. You know, I'm here in Louisville, you're over yonder there in Lexington.

Yes. So, you know, all these words that we were talking about, like the Appalachian language, I guess

it is that Matt described it as, I heard that growing up.

Like, my grandpa especially said all those words, like yorn.

Like it's yours.

Fixing.

Yeah, like I've got mine.

You got yorn.

Fixing it, fixing to do over, you know, directly. I'll do it directly. All those words, like, none of that's new to me. I thought that was just normal speak. As a matter of fact, I thought that you said the word wash as warsh, because that's what I heard growing up. Like, you know, I'm Washington, right? yeah, I live in Mount Washington as a kid, and then I had to grow up and actually realize that there's not an R in the word wash. It's W-A-S-H, not W-A-R-S-H. So all those words we were talking, I mean, I'm right there with it. Like, I'm familiar with all of them. right whether you got a hankering for something or maybe you got something on your britches and you got to take them off and put some new ones on. You know, one of those words isn't y'all because that is, I think, become an actual word. But when I moved from Florida to Kentucky, talk about another culture shock with everybody saying y'all. I had never even heard that before, but you're telling me, dude, you grew up with not only y'all i had never even heard that before but you're

telling me dude you grew up with not only y'all but all of them the wallerins yes yes waspers i

things like that the wasper was the one that maybe i i'd never heard of until i think it was last year

it was darrell i think they called in and said they call them waspers, not just wasps, but waspers.

You've got to put the ER on there. I don't know why you would do that, but that's what they
