Shannon, good morning. How are you, buddy?

0:41.7

I'm all right. I'm feeling a little under the weather today.

0:45.9

But you know what? Today is super sick Monday where more people call out for work, call out sick

0:51.8

for work than any other day of the year. So I didn't want to be that guy, although I felt like crap waking up this morning. And it wasn't because I drank too much. It's not like a Super Bowl hangover. I only had one Shane of the Dude Brew last night. But it's like, I don't know, a cold or something I got going on. So I'm going to power through it here with you. And good to see you back, man. Glad that

1:11.0

you made it back safe from San Francisco. And how was your weekend coming back? It was insane. It's kind of difficult to know where to begin to what like to everything that's happened over these past few days. But you're an Iron Man, Shannon. So the fact that you're sick, I know that you ain't faking it you know know, like, yeah, you haven't been called out sick maybe once in the KSR pre-show's history. So, hoping that you start feeling better. But you're right. This is probably the one day where people look at you, you know, a little sideways if you call out sick. Like, sure. This is like the adult hooky day. That's right. Everybody's like, yep, not going into work today, but some of us are responsible. The Monday after the Super Bowl next year, I believe, will be a holiday. So we have that to look forward to next year. Yeah. Did they finally align President's Day with the Super Bowl? Because I've been screaming about this for years. Is that what's happening? I think, yeah, next year is when that aligns. Okay, why can't we do this every year? I feel like I'm about to go on a rant here, but it seems so obvious. If more people call out sick on Super Bowl Monday than any other day of the year, why would we not simply move President's Day to the day after the Super Bowl? Or if you're one of these people were like so patriotic like no we can't move president's day then move the damn super bowl to the day after the Super Bowl. Or if you're one of these people who are like so patriotic, like, no, we can't move President's Day, then move the damn Super Bowl to the next week. Push it back another week, all right, and make it to where it lines up with President's Day. That way those of us who are off for President's Day can have the day off. You would think it would make sense for everybody. It makes too much sense. That's what the problem is.

2:35.4

Employees get their day off.

3:07.8

Employers don't lose their money because they don't have people at work that day. It would make perfect sense. It makes too much sense to actually do that. Well, it's an adult hooky day for a lot of people across the country. Here in Fayette County, schools are still out. Shaded. I came off the airplane and the cold hit me like a knife. I'm telling you, being in San Francisco for a week and then coming back to ice still on the ground, dude, it is unbelievable. So go ahead and brag about the weather that was out there. What kind of temperatures were you dealing with out there? I know it was tough. Were you talking like, what, 60s or did it was 70s? 50s, 60s, maybe even low 70s in the day. I know it was tough. But what were you talking like what? 60s or 70s?

3:13.3

Yeah. 50s, 60s, maybe even a low 70s in the day. I mean, it was nice. It was a light jacket at night. You know, we stayed a couple extra days so we could go to some of these parties,

3:19.5

the Sports Illustrated party. We walked a red carpet, Shannon. Talk about feeling out of place on something like that.

3:25.5

But I'm just really grateful for the entire trip.

3:28.5

I can't say enough great things about the NFL and I heart that made this happen, Shannon.
