It could be one of the best days that the NFL's had all year.

And yet it can be filled with a lot of bittersweet energy at the end of Sunday afternoon

because so many of the great stars got injured in week 15.

I'm here in the Chris Wesleying podcast studio with my friends Patrick Claibon, Jordan Roderig,

and Nick Shook from Cleveland.

And Nick, you're with us right off the top because

the biggest injury of them all, Patrick Mahomes, occurred in the game that you were covering

in Kansas City and I don't know what to say other than yeah multiple things can be true.

Yeah, it's a bummer of a way for, well, not to spoil anything, but it's a bummer of a way for the game to end in Kansas City. We'll leave it at that. You never want to see a star go down like Patrick Mahomes didn't. It didn't look good on camera either. And for somebody who has seemingly avoided so many injuries or played through so many injuries during his run of greatness. It's really disappointing to see him go down like this today.

It is just a crazy day, I think, since we've been doing the show.

Because you have this league changing injury with Mahomes.

You have a season changing injury with Michael Parsons, which we'll get to.

On a day, two, where Philip Freaking Rivers comes back. And that's like the fifth game on the schedule because Rams Lions was so amazing and meant so much. And there's a big injury there too. And the AFC East looked like it was one. And then it was just so much, Jordan. Are you ready for everything? I think we're going to have to have a serious chat with Joe Burrow about what type of crystal he wore during

his pregame arrivals today around his neck because I don't know I'm not trying to put one and two

and make it five here but the day he showed up in that crystal the weirdest energy possible

happens across the entire league yeah and everybody's kind of channeling uh that injury because

you could make a case that

three guys that are going to be inducted into Canton go down for an extended amount of time today. Okay. So I don't want to, I don't want it to all be. Let's pick it off. It's the hummer. Let's pick it up. Here's the thing. Phil Rivers is coming back so he can't go for five more years and Eli's going to get in.
