Welcome, welcome, welcome. This is the distraction pieces podcast, episode 651, part two, as I continue my

conversation with Joe Talbot of idols and Grace Neutral. If you've not heard part one yet,

go back and listen to that, it's wondrous. Part two, I want to give a quick heads up. We recorded

this before the horrific attack against the

Jewish community on Bondi Beach. Now, in this conversation, we do talk about Gaza. And we've not

had to edit anything, you know, it's just I wanted to highlight it because obviously it's worth

ultra highlighting that being critical of the current

Israeli regime under the Inyahu is nothing to do with being critical of the Jewish community

globally worldwide, you know, nothing but love and respect for all of the Jewish people struggling right now,

feeling, feeling attacked, because they have been, you know, it's a horrible situation, right,

where the horrific thing of anti-Semitism will be used by people like Netanyahu to attack those

criticizing the actions of the Israeli government at the moment. Unfairly, they will use it. But equally,

people who are anti-Semitic, people who do have these horrible ideals and thoughts and and views will use those speaking

out against the Israeli regime as cover for their views as an excuse as fuel as as

justification so it's a horrible a nuanced but but horrible, you know, cycle.

But I think we can all agree.

And if you don't agree, then you can fuck off that anti-Semitism is never acceptable.

But equally, the actions of this Israeli regime are completely unacceptable as well.

Anyway, I just wanted to say that and give some warnings, basically,

because it's a subject that we talk about, honestly and openly, and obviously with no anti-Semitism or Islamophobia, you know, but it's a sensitive subject because since we've recorded this, more horrific things have happened.

So I just wanted to highlight that, all right?
