We come to you on this Wednesday with the last major of the golf season upon us.

Now, if you get up early, they'll be golfed available to you tomorrow morning.

After 3 a.m., you can see almost all of it on the USA Network starting tomorrow at 4 a.m. So if you're an early riser, whatever you're going to do with your day, you can see the last major, see the British Open from Port Rush in Great Britain.

And really, it marks the end of the golf season.

Now, there's a couple more weeks of stuff.

You have the FedEx Cup, which I've never been a fan of.

I don't like it in any way.

I don't like the competition.

I don't like how it's set up.

I don't like anything about it. But this don't like the competition. I don't like how it's set up. I don't like anything about it.

But this year, you do have something to look forward to if you're a big golf fan,

and that is the Ryder Cup will be contested.

The last weekend in September, 9, 26 to 28 from Bethpage Black here on Long Island.

One of the great public facilities, but also one of the toughest golf courses anywhere.

And a course that plays tremendously the length.

So it will, without question, it will help the American team.

Not that the opposition won't have long hitters, they will, led by Rory.

But the Americans are more noted for that, and their team will be made up of a lot of guys who will hit the ball a long, long way, which is what you need to do at Beth Page. But that's still a ways off. We'll be into the football season long before that.
