Welcome to NFL Daily, where I'm still feeling conflicted about skipping the Oasis

0:14.3

concert a couple of weeks ago.

0:15.8

Oh, I wish I could have.

0:17.0

I'm Greg Rosenthal here in the Chris Wesleyan podcast studio.

0:21.8

Very excited to be talking about the six AFC games.

0:27.6

Some include the Lions.

0:29.2

You know, it's if the AFC team is at home.

0:32.1

And yes, just to get it out of the way there, like I had an inn to go to Oasis.

0:36.8

And even like, you know, good seats and. What? Backstage and all that. You know what? And it was the night before week one and I was just like, eh, I don't really want it. That's, that's how dedicated Greg Rosenthal is to. Well, they're also a band that if, if this concert was on any day, pretty much, most days,

0:55.7

the rest of the season that was, you know, convenient or the rest of the year that was convenient,

0:59.6

would love to go.

1:00.6

On the other hand, not a band I was like obsessed with as a kid or anything.

1:04.4

I will say that I got like drunk consistently for the first time with no parental supervision while listening to live

1:11.9

forever on repeat for like an entire weekend. But I'm not like a mega fan. I do love the picture

1:18.5

you've painted. Yeah, just a little, a little Greg Rosenthal. Also, sorry to the listeners. I think

1:24.0

I blew out everyone's eardrums. Just, I'm that shocked, though. Greg, I mean, and also, I love Oasis. You could have passed that good vibe. It wasn't, well, it wasn't one of those things. I don't think I could have. It was like a, wow, this is an exclusive. A connection, I guess, but. Wow. What a freaking flex. It's tricky, though. It's at the Rose Bowl. It's going to end at like 1230. Impossible to get out of there. You're home by like 1.30. If it was like, if Kurt Cobain was alive and it was Nirvana, I was trying to think of a band that would be coming. But I'm not passionate enough at this age to do that. Yeah, despite a core memory, you know. Yeah. Well, they were not going to play live forever until like the, you know, the end. Maybe just, maybe just go for the end. I don't know why I'm talking about this right at the top of like the best game of the year so far. Because it's worth it. It's worth it. Yeah, let's get to our AFC.

2:18.2

Because you missed maybe the best, one of the best concerts of the year. That's why. A great game. Could it be Oasis level? We'll find out the Detroit Lions making their visit to the Baltimore Ravens who are favored by four and a half points. The over under is 51. and a half the last few seasons. The lions have had this opportunity to play against the Baltimore Ravens. It has not gone well. But maybe John Morton could be the one to save the lions, Greg. Joe Buck, Troy Aikman, and Lisa Salters and Laura Rutledge on the call for Monday night football. Is John Morton the answer? Do they beat the Ravenson? I mean, are you just pouring a little salt? That was so good. In the Lion's wounds here. That was so good. That was amazing. I see what you did also. Thank you very much. You guys really brought it this show. I also think that in the lab, George. Yeah, like the NFC, that was fine. We bring out the great stuff for the AFC. I sense a little bit of confidence here for the Baltimore Ravens, Patrick Claibon's team. I mean, into this matchup. No. You just kind of mentioning how the Ravens blew the doors off them previously, it almost feels a little tongue in cheek that like, oh, John Morton could be the difference. No, I needed to make the OASIS reference. That's all that was. No, I've never confident. They can beat anybody. They can lose to anybody. I do like the matchup has worked for them. That they did a few things defensively that scramble Jared Goff's brains in the past. Now, we're going back

3:42.4

to 2023 for that last game, which it's been a minute. And I do think they're catching them

3:49.2

at the right time of year. I do think about this right now. These teams are so different than how

3:54.4

they'll be in December. The Ravens are a perfect example of that. No team has more consistently improved, especially on defense, late in the season than the Ravens. And I do have questions about their defense. I think this could be a shootout. But I just don't know if the Lions defense is ready for a game like this. No, and I think because right away, we've seen questions emerge about their front, not just their pass rush, but their run defense and the way that they handle different looks, different layers in those phases.
