Happy draft season to everyone. It is always an exciting time of year as we begin to welcome back

our seasonal drafters and get primed and ready for the 2025 NFL season. And for the always

great IDP community, that means we get to dive into the rankings and tiers of our beloved

defensive players for the upcoming season. I'm John McRey. and for this episode of the PFF Fantasy Podcast, IDP edition,

we're going to kick the rankings party off with the defensive linemen sorting out

who will be the sack artists, the workhorse machines,

the players with the upside potential to win us our weeks and our fantasy leagues this season.

So let's get it. All right, lots to get into here today, now that it is July and fantasy draft season.

And we've done some IDP

rankings episodes earlier this off season, obviously dynasty rankings. So typically pretty

different approaches for how we'd rank those players than for just the 2025 season. But

within those rankings episodes, I've gone into detail on a lot of individual players and what I think

about them. And not to say that I won't do that for this episode, but I will approach it a little

different to cover as many of our 2025 options as possible. And I'll do that by presenting the

tiers as a whole and then cover just some specifics about each tier and the players within those tiers

and why they fit into each grouping for this season.
