Oh, you thought we weren't going to record this week?

Well, despite the interventions of the All-Star Break and the audio gods, we are here, in fact, to discuss the scourge of tanking.

And also, we want to go back as we do annually and take a look at the previous season's trade deadline now, a year and a little bit of change on but let's begin here

with what's taken place since we last recorded of course we were off last week due to the all-star

break so we missed the jazz getting fined 500k the patient's getting fined 100k I'm going to start just

with your thoughts on those fines before we talk about it once again,

some of some possible tanking solutions and our reaction of what's being considered.

I think so technically the paces were fined for a like star player protocol or whatever.

And and sitting two other starters as well, they said.

That was against the jazz, ironically.

Yeah.

And the jazz, I think, were fined under the, kind of under the subheading, we don't

mind if you tank, but don't make us look bad, which I think is how the MAVs got

dinged for 750K a couple years ago

when they sat players at the very end of their season.

Because what the, I mean, you could argue that what the Wizards are doing just sitting

out Trey Young entirely is more appraised than what the jazz were doing in artificially putting

limits on their players minutes.

But it was a worse look for the league, I think, what the jazz were doing.

And I think that's why they got dinged.
