I'm Chip Patterson coming to you live on CBS Sports Network, fired up to get you

set for the season ahead over the course of the next hour where we will, among other things,

be showing you our college football playoff bracket predictions. That's right,

bracketology in August. What else could you possibly ask for?

Each of us has put together our projected college football playoff bracket.

And even better than that, we're going to play it out and tell you who ends up winning it all.

But first, the little bit of news that we did not get to address on our Monday show.

Because right as the show was wrapping up,

the AP top 25 preseason poll was released.

Texas does end up as the number one team in the country.

But at number two, it is not the Ohio State Buckeyes.

No, the AP voters have made it Penn State.

Ohio State checks in at number three.

Clemson at number four. You can see the rest

of the top 10 here on your screen if you're watching us on CBS Sports Network. DK., were you surprised

at all by some of the changes that the AP had in relation to the coaches poll, Penn State, Clemson,

among the differences that we've seen between the two.

So I don't even like saying this out loud because all due respect to our brothers and sisters who

were in media. I thought coaches would have known more about football. And yet I think the AP
