I'm a big fan of Ham Days as we've talked about over the years.

I kind of felt like you've seen the movie Anchorman.

With Ron Burgundy. You know that scene where he's like, I'm Ron Burgundy? Well, no, not that one. The one where he's chugging down that like Scotch right before he's going on the air. And they're like, they're counting him down like you're on in three, two, and he's like chugging down Scots. That was me with that country ham biscuit just a minute ago that we got from from Cedarwood, which was awesome, by the way. Country ham biscuit, to me, the best breakfast you can get. He came over and said, do you guys want country ham biscuit or do you want sausage and egg biscuit? I go, nobody gets sausage and egg biscuit at Country Ham days. You got to get the country ham you had a bite of yours yeah you didn't

scarf yours down like i did but uh it's very good no it's very good my dad grew up uh eating country

ham so i'd have it every now and then a little salty so we got some bottles of water look

completely gone i just chugged a 16.9 ounce bottle of water that's what you got to do you do, you know? Yeah, but this is obviously one of our favorite remotes, probably my favorite remote, Shannon, as we all know what happened last year. I don't remember. I don't remember what happened. I've even jammed contacts into my eyes. I'm so ready for today. Well, you don't have to have your eyesight to be able to call hogs. Well, I'm just prepared, Shannon. I mean, I've got the gene look and a little quarter zip. I mean, a professional. You understand we're not doing the hay bell tossing because you sort of rigged it to where you didn't have to defend your title. I was ready to take the title. I was ready to take the title this morning. I show up here and they got a trophy for a pig calling. Yeah, I would say dominated the event so much that maybe they thought it wouldn't be as entertaining to do it again. And I understand that. Ryan took my trophy and put it in the back of his car. I hope, you know, he'll be here a little bit later. So Ryan, if you're listening, you better bring that over. But yes, we have a new trophy. Which is actually way bigger than your little measly trophy that you got. Way bigger, I wouldn't say that. Way bigger. Like your little pocket trophy that you had is no comparison to this giant pig calling champion trophy. So I don't know what's going to happen later on. I'm told that we're going to do a pig calling contest, but there are no pigs here. I don't know how you determine if you're good at pig calling if there's no pigs to see if they actually come to you when you call them. Well, they're considered hogs, Shannon. We're doing hog calling. No, no, no, no. Hog calling is Arkansas. This is pig calling. Okay, so that's the distinction that we're making. Yes. So that you

lanes will actually participate in the event. I do like how the trophy has a picture of the pig

on it as well. That's the pig that you're going to be calling today, Shannon. Did you practice it all

last night? Watch a YouTube video or anything like that? Not at all. What about you? I mean,

we heard your husband calling yesterday on the show calling Daryll, which maybe they... A lot of great responses from that. People seem to like it. Well, did Daryl ever show up? I can attest to that, as I've told you over the years, Billy, that when I was a kid, I had a good stretch from probably like 1987 through maybe 2000.

Every year I came here with my grandparents.

They loved the Ham Days Festival, and we had to get up.

My grandpa hated to wait in line. Yeah. So we would have to get up early, and I'm talking like 5.30 every year to come to this. We get up early, we make the drive over, and we're the first people there when they open up the tent and start serving country hand. We were the people like, you know, knocking on the tent.

Yeah, it's like the people at the amusement park that are running when they open the gate. That was us. That was me and my grandparents. And I have so many good memories of just being here over the years. So to come back is a lot of fun. Of course, Alice Bluegown played here just a couple of years ago. That's what I was going to say. And only Alice Bluegown, before they were opening up forever clear or third-eyed blind, they were here at Ham Days. That's right. And they're going to have the country ham breakfast, the Pokey Pig 5K, the car show, carnival rides, live music, and yes, the haybell toss, which I hear there's some controversy about.
