We started this show years ago when we were next door neighbors and still haven't run out of

things to talk and laugh about yet. Today's episode is our annual

year in review where we look back on all the best and worst of 2024. We'll revisit our

intentions for the year, share our to-da lists, and what made us laugh, cry, and everything in

between. So let's start by revisiting our one word intentions for 2024 and how they served us

or maybe did not. What was your word? How did it show up for you this year? All right. My word was

shine, which is a really special word to me and felt like a good one for my first year in my 40s.

And it was also a cool word for me because I taught my first workshop at the beginning

of the year called Your Year to Shine. So I feel like I was very on brand. So I did think of my word

from time to time. I think like most years, more at the beginning, sort of forget about it

completely in the middle of the year. But then it kind of

starts, I'm like, oh, yeah. It resurfaces. Maybe I kind of do a midyear goals reflection. I'm like,

oh, yeah. And it was a lovely word. Anytime I thought of it, it brought me just a warm feeling.

And I would think of it and I would try to ask myself what in my life is making me shine right now.

And I just thought that was a really nice little reflection to think of what I was liking to lean into

and think about maybe what's not making me shine and what I could do about that.

I also said this year I wanted to think about how I can help my kids shine and I do think

I put a lot

of effort into that. Yeah, you did. Okay. My word was a symbol, actually. It was the addition symbol,
