We are back, and Greg, this is the third year for the Sound Opinions

writing prize, the second year for the Sound Opinions songwriting prize, but the first year for the Sound

Opinions Photography Award. If we keep going at this rate, thanks to the Goldschmidt Foundation,

I don't know what we're in. Maybe like the sound

opinions lunch prize because we could use a lunch break during taping.

Sure why not. We're glad to have the opportunity to highlight these students works and

we want to thank our friends at the Goldschmidt Foundation for donating to these students

and giving us the opportunity, Jim, you and I may know a thing or two about criticism,

but photography clearly isn't our focus so to speak.

Well yes and no but we teamed up with our colleague Ross Sawyer's from Columbia College

Chicago's photo department.

He and his colleagues sent us a list of contenders and then you and me we chose the finalist from that list

I gotta remember I think between us we've worked with four Pulitzer Prize winning photographers and at least

and many many other greats for our entire you know it's like that's how me and Andrew

first bonded our producer Andrew Gill is he's going out taking pictures and video and I'm talking to people.
