The dog days of August are officially, officially upon us here.

Late August, everyone in the league is preparing to return from vacation, get into the gym in the beginning of September.

Coaches are going to find out what they have.

Maybe a restricted free agent will actually sign.

There could be lots of interesting stuff there.

So our plan for today is we've been teasing this a lot.

We're going to redraft the 2024 draft.

And yes, I know that the Hoop Collective just redid the 22 draft, but we've been talking

about redrafting 2024 for like a whole month already.

So they stole the idea from us but it's interesting

to go back and do that having just seen most of these guys in summer league so we'll get to that

we get some more mailbag questions as well I want to ask you first john as the jonathan

comminga situation with the Warriors remains unresolved.

We are both aware of the reporting of some of the offers out there for Golden State.

They are offering Cominga a 2-1 second-year team option at about $23 million per season.

The best idea of what Camingo's offer has been, it was $3.82 million, The best idea of what Kamingu's offer has been.

It was three years $82 million, all guaranteed, of course.

And of course, there's that $8 million qualifying offer that Kaminga could take.

So given those three outcomes and the leverage of both sides, who is being fairer, realistic and let's start there you know in any contract

negotiation like this the first thing out the window is fair's got nothing to do with it it's

about market conditions and alternatives.

And that's where Golden State has all the leverage because there was no cap room this year.
