Okay, so in some incredible events going on since the last time I spoke on the 2024 election with a little nod to history.

Yeah, I still would caution people with everything going on.

Certainly the first president to step down, a's eligible for election, to step down since 1968,

is pretty big news, once again just like in 1968, elevating his vice president to run for his party's

nomination for president in his debt.

And look, I mean mean very different situation though I believe

as we're going to discuss I would caution a little bit there's still a little bit of

a fog of war that occurs in August and occurs in July in American elections.

August in particular, how do you say like a high gravity atmosphere?

It's not like no one's paying attention to politics. We certainly have social media sort of elevates everything a bit

But people still go on vacations. We still have Olympics. We still have other things going on where it's harder to

score during August and I think campaigns still begin in September and we'll see

where we are even though quite a lot has

happened in July and August and we look forward to a convention now Democratic, Kamla Harris, will have a VP pick to make.

And that's interesting, and that's also something we haven't seen a while

where the incumbent White House party is picking a new

vice presidential candidate. That really hasn't happened. As I've discussed here, it's been

talked about.

Certainly, George W Bush wanted his dad, George H. W. Bush, to replace Quail.

So did James Baker, so did Dick Cheney. And then Dick Cheney, when he became a vice president, offered to George W Bush to replace him and George W Bush said no. So you've had these kind of faints at could you possibly be replacing the VP

nominee, but it hasn't happened.
