Summary

Andrew and Jake continue their deep dive into each Browns position group ahead of NFL free agency right around the corner. We started the offense last week with quarterbacks, running backs, and wide receivers, and today we wrap up skill positions with the tight ends. This is a position in transition that had moments of success last year but not enough to matter across the NFL. More talent will be needed as the group transitions into more dense tight end usage once again. (As mentioned previously, we are going to start putting some podcast content specifically for BFB supporters on Substack and Premium Feeds. In the second half of the episode Jake and Andrew examine the 2025 free agent class and who could be brought in to bring life to a juiceless position last season. They cover every notable name in the free agent class, and give you their picks for their guy, their least favorite option, and some out of the box solutions to the TE position. Jake, how is your weekend, man?

0:34.5

Andrew, we're okay.

0:35.5

We are limping through another holiday that you forget. It's a holiday until it's like Sunday before the holiday, President's Day. So we had a house full of kids and chaos, but otherwise we are okay, man. How are you? Doing good. Jake, had a good weekend. Got out and, you know, was out on the town a little bit, had some good pizza. To me, that me, that makes a weekend. You have a good, good slice of pizza. That's, that's as good as it gets. So that was good. And, yeah, just settling into that post-football life grind where you kind of get up on a Sunday morning, you're like, okay, I know what I'm supposed to be doing, what I normally do on a Sunday, but trying to remember what it is that I do if there's

1:14.3

not football to watch. So working on that a little bit, not, not haven't come up with any good

1:20.2

answers yet, but I'll, I'll keep you updated. As far as NFL news, it has been quite quiet as

1:25.8

we get ready for the, I guess really the scouting combine is the next item on the NFL calendar.

1:31.2

But things have been really quiet, including with the Miles Garrett trade situation.

1:34.4

There really hasn't been any more rumors one way or the other anymore pushing of the narrative

1:39.8

from Garrett's camp or really from the Browns.

1:43.0

Everybody seems to have kind of stayed put in their positions as of now.

1:48.1

So we'll keep tracking that.

1:49.7

Really the only piece of NFL news is it does appear that the Cincinnati Bengals

1:54.4

will place the franchise tag on T. Higgins, wide receiver T. Higgins,

1:58.6

which is not, I think, overly surprising Jake,

2:01.3

considering what they need to do to keep that team together. They probably can't afford to

2:06.6

sign him to a long-term deal. So franchise him and hope that they can compete this year. And then

2:13.6

next year, he probably leaves. But we'll see kind of how that unfolds for them.
