2024 trying to nutshell it for you. Let's start with Julian Assange, the WikiLeaks dude. He cuts the deal.

He is guilty plea to conspiring to obtain and distribute classified information allowed the WikiLeaks

founder to walk free. And really to see his reunion with his family is a little bit stunning.

Go ahead and roll the tape, John.

The plea deal that allowed Julian Assange to land here as a free man was organized by the

Justice Department, not by the White House, and that's according to officials. But lawyers

for Assange say they will be seeking a pardon from President Biden, Jeff. That's because they're

calling his prosecution a criminalization of journalism.

With his fists raised in victory, Assange walked across this tarmac and scooped up his wife,

Stella, putting 14 years of legal battles behind him.

Five of those spent in a British high security prison.

What he needs now, his family says,

is rest. Yeah, I think I'd need rest after 14 years in behind bars. Fascinating story. We'll see how

it continues on. Sports again, a major part of our culture. And on June 24th, the Panthers won their first NHL Stanley Cup.
