Krampers Kwanza. Yeah, so anyways it's the last week of the year here on

planet Earth which is an excellent time to look backward at just what the hell happened over the last 51 weeks.

Reason magazine has always had, shall we say, an alternative viewpoint from which to assess

the world around us.

The first words in the first issue of the magazine

55 years ago, written by the immortal Lani Freelander,

were as follows.

Introducing reason, we accept the responsibility that others have defaulted on.

We've all been striving to meet that lofty standard ever since, but with your generous help,

we do our level best.

So in the Freedlander's spirit, we're going to take a look back in this special episode and

come up with some undercover stories of 2023.

Oftentimes national politics, particularly of the presidential variety,

is the squirrel to the attention span of our dog-like media, and the media's most avid consumers as well.
