Music Friends, when we recorded this podcast, we lived in a different world.

That world was one in which Arizona State didn't have a starting quarterback.

Since then, the world has changed.

The Sun Devils tabed Jaden Rashada,

true freshman as their starting quarterback for week one.

It's a fascinating move for a lot of reasons,

mostly surrounding the wild circumstances that led Rashada

from one of the highest paid quarterbacks in college football

who got shorted on his entire deal at Florida

to a kid who was following in

his dad's footsteps at his alma mater, Arizona State, without an NIL deal to his name.
