Good morning, everybody. Today is still Friday, July 21st. A four-episode morning continues with

episode number three talking about the Philadelphia Eagles. I left the Eagles and Bengals until last

because I think they're two very difficult teams to give a compelling brief preview. And again,

these are pre-previews. We'll dive in deeper as we get

closer to the season, but it's hard to say a lot about the Eagles because not much is changing.

And I know that that's going to sound maybe a little bit weird to Eagles fans because it's a new

offensive coordinator, it's a new defensive coordinator.

Lost both linebackers, lost both safeties. There's some turnover. There's definitely

changes personnel-wise at both the coach and the player level, but I really don't think

it matters all that much. So obviously last year to make the Super Bowl, number four in

defensive EPA per play, number three in offensive EPA per play,

it's a historically easy schedule that if you think back to Super Bowl week in the lead-up,

every single analyst in some way or another referenced how easy the schedule was when trying to make a case for the Kansas City Chiefs.

But again, when you think about schedules passed and a team that performed and dominated,

as much as the Philadelphia Eagles did throughout the course of the season,

you can't control who you play, but you can control how you play against those teams.

And the Eagles exceeded expectations despite the easy

schedule at every single opportunity to do so. And so I know it's going to be more difficult this

year. Obviously their schedule increases in difficulty. And that's reason enough for a lot of people

to say, well, this team is going to take a step back.

And again, you think about those couple changes, new OC, new DC, changes on defense of key

positions. You're like, okay, this is going to be an Eagles team that's just price too high.
