It is finally here the 2023 NBA Drafts lives will be changed tonight in Brooklyn, New York

we know one thing and that is the number one pick it has been the Wimbee show across all

of ESPN's networks the question is what does the rest of the night look like we're going to

talk about it all on who collected NBA draft show we're squatted up tonight guys I mean look at

this collection of folks we got senior NBA writer Brian Wynne Hurst here we also have Tre Murphy the

third you may recognize him from the New Orleans Pelicans welcome sir Kevin Pelton is here

Kirk Gerr old series here excited and I'm Christine Williamson it's going to be a really really

great night we're going to be here for two and a half hours so buckle up it's going to be fun I

want to start with you Tre because you're the only one sitting at this desk who has actually gone

through the draft process and been drafted right um okay so what is the process like as a player

when you're going into this night what is going through your thought process what is the preparation

like what was it like for you well for me I wasn't too nervous probably like the entire day I mean

you got a promise no I didn't know I did not have a promise but um I just wasn't too nervous at

the end of the day I did all I could do I went through all my workouts in plays the best I could

and you know got to draft night picks one through around 10 I was actually just chilling because I

knew I wasn't going top 10 and um once it got to about pick 11 pick 11 that's when my heart

started being really fast and uh just each pick is like man this could be where I'm going and

yeah you were a mess and I love it I love it trust me I didn't plan on crime but it just it

just happened like that around pick 16 my agent called me and said you know uh the pelicans are

going to pick you and at that point I was like all right cool like night sober like it's going to

be fun Adam Silver called my name and just like a wave of emotions yeah overcame and it was um

it was insane and all my family was there so I was very thankful to have that moment with him how
