This is something that I've done with data, game theory, and strategy previously for March Madness.

And we're going to try to step out of my comfort zone, which is golf, and show you the best way it's to do this.

So I've got the best tools to use.

I have a contest that we can all get into.

I'm going to bust some of the myths about survivor selections, and we're just essentially

going to create this the most strategically optimal way to give you

the best chance of making it as far into the NFL season as possible. So that's where we're

headed. Let's get into it. Just like for March Madness, I'll be the first to tell you. I'm not a

big football guy. I do golf data analysis for a living. I don't watch a lot of football. I don't

think that you need to, based on this contest.

It's just a big math problem that we should be able to solve with logic and reason and making

sure that we're making smart decisions as opposed to kind of gut decision. So it's been successful

in March Madness. There's a couple more variables that we're going to need to consider here,

obviously, for an NFL survivor pool. But just briefly, if you don't know how survivors work,

and I'll keep this very brief and very simple, you choose one NFL team each and every week to win.

If they win, you survive, you move on. If they do not win, you are eliminated. If you are the

last man standing or the last entry standing, you win all the money. That is generally how it works.

There are some where maybe ties will advance you. There are some where you have to start

picking two teams per week when you get to

week 12. The payouts might not be winner take all, for example, but that is the general gist of how

these survivor pools work. You can only choose each team once, so you can't choose the chiefs
