of the Canyons by UTMB race series. We'll be touching on the 100 mile, 100K, 50K events as a fair

bit of the future racing season for these athletes is on the line in all three.

It's also a dual qualifier in the 100K, for example, with Western States Golden Tickets and

UTMB auto slots on the line.

The location, Auburn, California is known as the birthplace of Mountain Ultra Trail, the

endurance capital of the world, the finish line of the Western States 100, and now,

since last year, the UTMB World Series major for the America's region.

So it's carrying a lot of titles.

What's exciting you about this race?

I think this is exciting to me because it's that last chance for people to race their way into Western

States this year. So I think Canyons each year gets people going for a golden ticket for their

first time, but it also gets a lot of the people who might have failed in their first attempt
