This is Kentucky Sports Radio presented by Stockton Mortgage. Now here's Matt Jones. Welcome everyone, Kentucky Sports Radio Tuesday, March 14th. I'm Matt Jones here at the KS Bar and Grill on a cold day in Lexington, Kentucky. Who decided to let it snow?

0:56.1

Let it snow and every road in this town is backed up or closed. It's ridiculous. Because of Rex, ice, ice, and Rex. We're gonna have school today? They did. Well I think because they're given the ACT test today to like the sophomores. Oh wow. It's ACT test day. Did you take the ACT? I did. What'd you get? I think 27. That's not bad. Yeah. Did you take the ACT? Yeah. I did just enough to get by.

1:25.8

So you won't tell us your score. I'm whatever the like the minimum was to get it. I think that's what I got. I don't think there's a minute. You get 30 something. What's top score? 36 or 37? Yeah, I got a 35. I miss. I was off by one. I think you get at least like an 18 or something like that. I think that is the number. I do think it's 18. So that's probably what I think you got an 18. Just enough to get by. Yeah. Clark's puppet shop phone line is 859-282-887.

1:53.0

A Vision Auto Glass text machine is 772-774-5254 in this edition sponsor by the TJ Smith Law office. You call TJ on Make Them Pays. He's a personal injury lawyer. I'm really impressed. You got a 27. That's hard. That's good.

2:05.8

Well, I can do really well. I know you think I'm crazy. I don't think you're crazy. I think you're smart. I think you're you're just different. He's interesting. Right, Shannon? Yeah. But go ahead. I do know this today is pie day. Yeah. 314. That's right. Yeah.

2:22.5

Good job. I know I just started just filling in random circles when I got to a certain point of it. Did you just get bored? Yeah. I didn't care. I'm like, I got time for this. I think I got an 18 is not bad. I think Shannon. I got that in seventh grade. What happened? Well, you're smart. Yeah.

2:36.1

The reading comprehension was always got me. You got to read a couple paragraphs and then answer questions. Yeah. Isn't that the SAT? I was at the SAT when they did. The SAT has math and verbal. Okay. And then the ACT has like science. Although this is all changed. I don't even know what it is now. Yeah.

2:51.3

I mean, it's been a long time. I saw a couple of big universities just announced they're not using that anymore. Yes. They cleared that as far as an entrance requirement. I don't know if that's good though, because they still are allowing legacy people in. See, that's where they people all focus. And I didn't mean to start on this, but people all focus on on the race or ethnicity or all that stuff. Diversity part of the problem is these schools let in their legacies. They get an advantage. And so that's really what helps people.

3:21.2

Is that if you went to Yale, your kids get a better chance to go to Yale. That's really the problem. Yeah. If you just open it up to the masses, I think you'd get a better thing, but they that they all do that because they want people to donate a lot of money. Yeah.

3:33.4

They want John. They want Joe Smith donated a half million dollars. And then his kid gets it. Uh huh. That's where they get you. Yes. That's the getcha. That's where they get you. Now, we are two days. Well, first of all, the NCAA tournament actually starts tonight. Yeah, the playing games and dating.

3:49.4

Playing games start tonight. I think tonight is like Texas A&M Corpus Christi versus Southeast Missouri. It's a lot of words. It is state. The OVC champ Southeast Missouri from Cape Gerardo, Missouri for our listeners right out there on the Mississippi River counties.

4:08.2

Cape Gerardo's the town where they do their shopping. Yeah, not far from Paduca and all the folks over there in Western. Yeah, like Ballard County, Calaway County, they go to Cape Gerardo, where they need something.

4:19.8

But that they played today and then pit Mississippi State is tonight. Oh, I didn't realize the SEC SEC battle. Good Mississippi State snuck in.

4:28.9

By the way, someone just wrote me and said, Ryan getting a 27 on the ACT was a lot better than me. Please don't tell me that again.

4:35.9

There are people are jealous of you. Well, I mean, I finished third in my class. I was an academic American in Kentucky, Wesleyan.

4:43.0

What? Right man. Hang on, Shane. What? You were an academic all American. I think I was the first baseball player to get academic all American. You were academic all American. Yeah.

4:54.1

Do you have proof of that? I need Roy Pickerold to get me up with something. Yeah. What did you? What did you get for it? A plaque, I think, or a certificate? Who knew we were with Albert Einstein here.

5:05.6

Shane, not you know that. I'm based off our conversations. I could do it.
