Welcome to Rates and barrels. It is Monday, February 28th. Yeah, we're about ready to say goodbye to February.

Probably a good time to do that.

Hasn't exactly been a good month for a myriad of reasons.

But on this episode, we begin our outfield preview, which is probably a two-parter, maybe two and a half parts.

You've got to put utility-only players somewhere.

Maybe we could do catchers in like eight minutes because it's the worst position in the entire fantasy pool. So just, you know, there's lots of ways around this, but lots to get to today. So not a lot of rambling. We did get back out and play pickleball again on Sunday and had a beer. So I feel like that's a small victory.

Yeah. Yeah. And I scored like I think four points in one of the games. So I'm making some progress.

Yep. And I have been inspired by Chad Bradford to try and work on a new serve where I get the paddle very low and hit a very funky ultra spin serve that

does all sorts of nasty things on its way related to you know to my difficulty in scoring points

yeah yeah it's going okay I still I still have a little work to do got to get in front of the

the high speed cameras and, you know.

Yeah, see how the ball comes off the paddle and make sure I've got the right efficiency, all those things.

But we begin with our outfield preview.

As we do on all these episodes, we're looking at things by NFBC ADP tier, just looking at players clustered together, trying to decide whether or not

if they're overvalued, undervalued, figuring out who we like, who we don't like.

The elite outfield group is really good.

I'm going to call this group the first rounders and occasional first rounders.

All of these players have carried ADPs inside the top 20 overall over the last two weeks.

We're looking back from February 14th through February 28th for draft results. And that group includes Tatis and Soto and Acuna, Harper, Kyle Tucker, Mike Trout, Muki Betz, and Luis Robert. So we have a really good group of players. We've talked about Tatis before. Soto is the pick I just made in the Great Fantasy Baseball Invitational, which got underway on Monday. So that was from the number five spot overall. Happy to get him there. This is a group that it's almost more like, is there anyone in this

group you don't trust at their price? Because with Tatis and Soto, like we know who they are and

the ceiling seems to be limitless with Tatis, just a shoulder question. Okunia's coming off the ACL injury,

so it'd be great to see him having a spring training of some kind just to know where he's at
