Greetings and welcome to the BNH Photography Podcast.

My name is Alan Whitez, and I'm John Harris.

And a quick thank you to Audio Technic of supporting this episode.

Today we will be talking about the upcoming 2022 Optic Conference with the events organized by David Brahmum.

We're very excited to be returning in person to New York's premiere outdoor wildlife and travel photography and video conference,

which will be held from June 12th to June 15th, 2022.

Since 2016, we've attended every Optic Conference and recorded wonderful conversations with the likes of Franz Lanting, Keith Carter and Joyce Tennyson.

The previous two years have seen the event move online and this year's event will also have online components, which David will tell us about.

But for the podcast team, and I'm sure for the attendees, it will be a pleasure to be back at the conference mixing and mingling with other photographers and learning from the great speakers, workshops, and vendors who will be there.

So let's welcome David Brahmum for a preview of this year's event followed by an encore conversation, which we recorded our very first Optic with legendary photographers Michael Cana, who are absolutely adored and Paul Kappenegro, who I also happen to adored.

As for Mr. Brahmum, David is a well-known figure around these parts. He wears a lot of hats, mostly can gole, though he's been known to be a brightly colored plaid ones with disney family and friends in Florida.

But let's just keep that between ourselves. Officially, he's the director of large scale events, and we know him as the organizer of B&H's two big conferences, the Depth of Field Wedding Portrait and Event Photography Conference and Optic.

He's also towards seminars at the International Center of Photography, the main media workshops and many industry conventions. David, welcome to our show.
