episode, we have a very special, special guest and an NBA draft expert in Chip Jones. Welcome to the show,

Hi, thanks for having me on. I'm really looking forward to it. I'm excited to get going.

So we're going to obviously preview the NBA draft, of course, and then recap the NBA

finals a little bit later. But before we get into that, how's everyone doing, Matt Theo?

Chip, of course. I always get caught by surprise with how soon the NBA draft is after the finals.

As a primarily football guy, I'm like, oh, we've got months and months and months to

talk about the draft and whatnot.

And in the NBA, it's like, oh, season's over, draft now.

And so I'm glad that we have a, so I have no time to look at the prospects after it because I don't know what it is. So I'm glad that we have the opportunity to talk with someone who does. I like it. I think the NFL draft process drags on for such an insane amount of time. I mean, you're going on like four or five

months of just like draft stuff if your team's bad. Even with the NBA, it's not that long,

even if your team is out of it really early. So I'm pumped for it. I don't know. I was going to ask,

like, do you have problems scouting players, Chip,, while the season is happening. Like, do you find

that annoying? Because I always kind of think it's nice that I have the time where no games are

happening. I'm not missing anything. Like, if I had to scout during the season, I would probably

watch less football. So do you have problems with that? Does that annoy you? Yeah, I mean, it's definitely pretty tough, especially, like, because, like, you said, with NFL, like, it's, like, one game every weekend. Obviously, it's, like, longer, but you guys probably get, like, the condensed film at some point if you're trying to grind through that. So it's, like, for us, it's like, there's pretty much a game on someone's playing every day as well as the prospects like in the NBA.

So it definitely can get pretty tough.

Usually I'm watching between like maybe like five to eight games a day.

So it's definitely a lot of work. But you know, you kind of just got to pick something and prioritize it sort of, I guess.
