Welcome to the Bronx Pinstripe Show.

This is a little bit of a different episode

we're not going to be talking about the games the yankees haven't played a game since we last

recorded they are playing tonight against oakland but with the trade deadline you know about a month

away we figured it might be a good time to look back at some past trade deadlines see what the

yankees have done see what brian cashman is done also taking a look at what previous championship teams both Yankees and recent championship winners

have done at the deadline because we all hope this is another championship team for the Yankees

and it's it's fun to look back and see what moves have worked what moves haven't worked and

the approaches that some of these general managers have taken.

Next week, we're going to be doing a mid-season GM trade deadline episode.

We've always done the off-season GM episode, but Logan and Ilya are going to be teaming

up with us.

You know, we're going to be doing the whole rigmarole. I'm going to be laying out my plan with Logan. We're a team. And Scott, you're going to be laying out your plan with Ilya. And then we can shit all over each other's plans. That's going to be the episode next week. Perfect. No, it's going to be fun. I actually, I love playing GM.

I love this role.

So it's, and this is going to be a very, very important trade deadline for the Yankees because

clearly they have, you know, the caliber of team that could go deep into the, into the

postseason and potentially win the World Series.

So it's a matter of like, if they make the right moves. Does Cashman do the right thing? Does he satisfy the depth, any depth concerns? Does he go out and make a splash for that impact player that, you know, makes a, makes a, makes a market as a difference maker, an X factor, if you will, in the playoffs. Big, big time for Cashman to shine.
