I am excited to be here. I can smell the burnt rubber and petrol in the air. We are so close to our first race.

I know, man. A lot of today's show we're going to be concentrating on the team-mate battles,

because it'll give us a chance to kind of go team by team a little bit and do a bit of a season preview.

I will also talk about the Drive to Survive series that I've binged as much of as I can.

Just a little bit, and no spoilers, I promise. But actually, Matt, we were in the shed two days ago

talking to ex Lotus team principal Matthew Carter. And I'm not over it. I'm still buzzing from that conversation.

Somebody said, like, that's the best show you guys have ever done. You're never going to top it. And they're right.

I don't think we are. Well, I just, I mean, just frankly, having access to someone who's been in that position

always feels like a very special treat. But to get him talking about the business of what was going on with him

when he was in charge. And then when they sold to Renau, wow, it was like, it's like getting to stand in a photographer's pocket

right next to the track while the race is going on. It's a perspective you just never expect to see personally and up close.

We're really, really lucky to have that dynamic with Matthew Carter. I think he's been on 17 episodes of Mistake Pek's podcast so far.

And he still manages to surprise us every time that last chat we had with him revealed the most.

I think when it came to the relationship with Renau as they were taking over Lotus, the dynamic between these massive financial institutions as well.
