I've got a very exciting show for you today because we're doing not only a deep dive and a look at the impact that the super seniors are going to have on the 2021 college football season.

So before we get into it, just to set the stage for the year of the super seniors.

According to an extensive and thorough investigation and accumulation of information from the great Ralph Russo at the Associated Press, more than 1,000 scholarship players are expected to take advantage of the opportunity for another year of eligibility.

This isn't something that we have ignored at all here on the Cover 3 podcast. We've discussed its impact on the way that schools and administrators might have to kind of bounce around this.

Illinois athletic director Josh Whitman actually estimated that it was going to be $500,000 on top of regular football expenses to be able to accommodate Illinois, which leads all power five schools with 17 super seniors.

I L L. We also have discussed it here is Bill Connelly noted that about every team across the board is about 8 to 10% higher than they normally would be in terms of returning production normally.

The top teams are around 86, 87%. We've got three teams above 90% including UCLA, which is at 96.
