What's up and welcome to Ask Father Josh. This is the New Year's edition, the New Year's

special show where I'm just going to give you a word of encouragement. Y'all, I don't

know about you but every year New Year's Eve comes. I make a resolution and typically

within a few weeks just doesn't happen. Doesn't go through but this year is going to be a

different year. I think we need to be a little more intentional about our New Year's

Resolutions. And so, but I want to invite us to do. We have a few more days until we get

to New Year's Day. I want to invite us to examine what is our dominant vice. We all got

one. Some of us is pride, some of us is envy, some of us is wrath, our lust, sloth, our gluttony,

our greed. And so, I want to encourage us to discern what's my core vice that I struggle

with. And if you don't know, ask your spouse, your boyfriend, your girlfriend, your mommy,

your daddy, your brother, your sister, your kids, your coworkers, and they will tell you,

right? Well, we don't know. Other people will tell us. That's the gift of community.

We can tell us what we don't see. And so, I want to invite us to discern our dominant

vice and then discover the the version that it poses that that vice. I just did a YouTube

show with the Ascension Presence Channel. The Ask Father Josh show on VICE and Virtue.

And so, I'd encourage you to watch that show and learn about the vices and then find

on what Virtue's opposed them and then cultivate that virtue for the year. Prioritize opposing

that vice and prioritizing that virtue through your prayer, through your works, through your

conversations, the appearances, just be intentional with that. We can literally spend an entire

year on one vice. It ain't like we could just do a virtue and overnight it's going to

be done. Nah, nah, but like seriously, I want to invite you to discern what's my dominant
