we how Annie says five second penalty Blake dot B underscore underscore god damn it Alonzo and eesh dot bar and 33 max for staff and domination I love the god damn it Alonzo that I could feel that one I think a lot of us were probably feeling quite similar although the battle was amazing but I'm sure we've got lots to dive into for this Austrian Grand Prix podcast the Katie why don't you kick us off with three word race my three word race review is best national

anthem that's not really but that was an amazing national anthem to start mine is sort it out and that is in reference to the massive penalties that are handed out over the weekend we had 13 separate penalties handed out and you know the FIA were made fun of for handing out so many but to be honest I think even more were deserved you know for example BOTAT blocking and qualifying and the not respecting double wave yellow flags after the Kimi and Seb incident in which eight drivers were invested

for that only two got a penalty and of course land those penalty and Czechos penalty there was so many to talk about and it's a shame that for what was a fairly eventful Austrian Grand Prix especially in comparison to the week before has now just been completely overshadowed with penalty chat but I mean I literally do nothing but talk about penalties and penalty points so I've got pages of notes for this podcast and I'm going to go off on a rant

lovely I should we just leave it to you then Katie but yeah I agree with in terms of the amount of penalties was quite overwhelming wasn't it and being able to keep up exactly with what was going on in the race with no real graphic from what I could see in terms of like you don't really have anything to absorb exactly you know who still has a penalty to serve

who was already served their penalties etc so it was quite difficult to especially if you're a newer fan to keep on top of exactly what's going on in the race I mean

fair enough some of the penalties were absolute slam dunks i.e. Yuki Seno do not being able to get round the white line to me get ready to shout in London

that's not that's not the deal that was no it's the I'll kind of lunch I'll kind of lunch I forget see someone was saying it on Twitter and let I think you should still do that if you have to do the

Alonzo as well it doesn't look likely but yeah the penalties were you know if thick and fast obviously some of them are we will debate about the actual on track instance the overtakes the attempt to

overtake and it's always very much you know up to the stewards there's no hard and fast rule that you do x you get a penalty or you don't do

them x and you don't get a penalty is always very much case by case basis which sometimes is good but sometimes can cause quite a bit of confusion

yeah the strangest thing that Katie sort of mentioned as well is we were literally at this track the week before

and nothing happened other than botters spinning in the pit lane and I can't remember any of the penalties so

there probably wasn't that much interesting um I feel like Katie's now going to look at what penalties go

last week yeah it's actually 42 but I don't remember a race where there were quite so many penalties

and it's so bizarre that we were at that very track everyone was expecting we had so many questions

in the last podcast saying are we just going to get steering GP part two exactly the same order nothing really happening

and it was chaos and while it's quite easy to go laugh at the FIA guys are right part of it as well

was that a lot of driving standards just seemed to go out the window which is very odd for when you've
