Welcome back to the morning mindset my friends. I hope you've had a wonderful holiday

season this year and that your Christmas celebration was filled with the gift of Jesus. That's what I'm praying for every one of

you this year as we have this season that's kind of an interesting time between

Christmas and New Year's where the between Christmas holiday is over finally. We're moving into a time of

looking toward a New Year celebration and this year it's a big one 20

it's a new decade that is coming on us it's a new season of life for many and I

know that sometimes the year changing is an opportunity for us to

reflect and also to look forward. I'm not one who's ever done a lot of New

Year's resolutions because I've seen real quickly how they can fade

over time if they don't have the right kind of impetus behind them.

But I do use the New year often to assess and to look forward and to set goals things that I would like to accomplish and try to work out plans of how I'm going to get there.

And I would like to get there.

And I would like to ask you some questions today

as we look toward the new year.

Questions about your wishes, your desires

for the year ahead.

And I want to root this conversation in a passage of scripture.

A few days ago, we read from Ephesians chapter 2,

and right at the tail end of the passage that we read,

Ephesians 2 verse 10, it says,

we are his workmanship, meaning God's workmanship,

created in Christ Jesus for good works which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
