And since we try to take a more long view at times on this show as a once a week show,

I want to talk about just what we've learned about basketball in these playoffs,

what some of the big lessons are, if any,

or if we are in danger of making too

many conclusions about basketball.

So we've got the Miami Heat and the Lakers in the finals.

We'll talk about that matchup a little bit in a second.

But based on what's taken place in these playoffs, what are some of just overall lessons that you've gotten on what works

in playoff basketball and what doesn't work? I think the real thing we've seen is the importance

of motion, especially in watching Miami. But if you look, a lot of these teams that were kind of static pick and

roll teams, Houston, Milwaukee, maybe even Portland, you could argue, really didn't do well in the

postseason. And whereas Miami's constant offball activity, I think, was really hard for teams to get ahead of. And I mean,
