Summary

Abby and Robbie Martin give a blow-by-blow account of the first two nights of the 2020 Democratic presidential candidate debates. They discuss how Tulsi Gabbard and Bernie Sanders were specifically targeted with adversarial questions, the unequal time given to Elizabeth Warren/Joe Biden and how candidates like Pete Buttigieg/Kamala Harris/Bill Deblasio were attempting to siphon energy from Sanders by disingenuously emulating his positions. The chip on Rachel Maddow's shoulder is also analyzed. Thanks for listening! them seem to think that they're the smartest ones, they're most equipped to deal with the threat,

and instead of backing someone who can actually win, like a Bernie Sanders, they have all decided

to throw their hats in the race, everyone from Bill de Blasio to Elizabeth Warren.

1:30.8

I mean, it's just really, really a nightmarish scenario.

1:33.1

And I dread the next two years because my first thought was, has this ever happened before?

1:39.4

Like, not just the amount of candidates running.

1:43.0

Obviously, that's insane. But just the fact that the debates

1:46.0

are like more than a year and a half away from the election. Like this is how much we're
