the show notes. All right, in keeping with the bad news to good news approach that I began this preview series for 2020 with in the

offensive previews, we're going to start with the linebackers in this one. But before we get to

that, want to remind everybody that essentially the approach that I'm taking here is that we're

going to start by thinking about which positions in which position groups are an upgrade or a

downgrade versus the prior year. And that's a way of helping understand what kind of improvement

can you really expect. What kind of performance can you expect? If you're returning the same guys,

if you're returning the same roster in other years, if you're returning the same roster and the same

coaches as the prior year, how much improvement can you really expect from that group? Versus,

okay, you're returning, you've lost some guys,

but you're returning more talented guys to step up in their place,

or vice versa.

You're returning guys that are less talented than the guys that they're replacing.
