about an hour talking about his proposal for a universal basic income. We talked about

a whole bunch of political questions that were going on and because it is my obsession,

we did some foreign policy at the end. He's a very thoughtful, good guy. He wore a hat

president, the Democratic nomination in 2020. It's great to have you here. It's great to

be here. Tommy, thanks so much for having me. Straight from Iowa, you've been here a couple

days. I've been in LA for about a day. Okay, cool. It's good to have you. Let's jump right

into it. So your can't see has really been like laser focus on a big central idea, which

is the need for universal basic income. I want to get to that in detail. I was hoping

we could start with how you arrived at the need for UBI through your work adventure for
