Matthew Hahn risks life in prison in order to save a young girl - and due to Hahn's prior criminal record and the 3 strikes law in California turning over this memory card to land in the hands of the proper authorities effectively provides evidence not only of a sexual assault on a child but also of a burglary committed by Matthew Hahn.
He knew he was sealing his fate inside of that envelope - yet he did it anyway. Seemingly a petty thief, his sense of duty to protect a young girl he had never met drove him to sacrifice his life of crime and drugs, jeopardize his freedom and prove his moral compass has a true north.
