Hi everyone, welcome to the Golden Ratio podcast. I am Jen, G.R. Mom, flying solo this week

because G.R. Dad is in Canada, visiting his daughter. So I'm not going to do a big long

podcast with all the stuff because I know you mostly listen for G.R. Dad harassing me and

telling Dad jokes. So I just wanted to do a quick dog updates for those of you who like to hear

him on the podcast instead of digging through the snaps. So let's see, Remy got his stitches out

on Monday and so that's good. We did a blood glucose curve on him and that's looking really good.

They did a urinalysis on him and that came back good and so the only thing that we have outstanding

at this point is a thyroid panel because they suspect that he's got some thyroid issues going on.

If he does, we basically start him on some medicine and that should take care of that. So this is

all really good news. It means that we are currently on track for him to still get his eye surgery

on September 9th. If he gets some weird blood work back that may get delayed but right now everything

is looking pretty good. So that's Remy. Yeah, he's doing good. He's happy. Hups is still limping.

Her arm is really sore but we did some x-rays. Those came back showing there's a lot of arthritis

but we were worried that there might be like a chipped bone or something in there that wasn't

going to be fixed by what we were doing but nope, that all looks okay. It had gotten really bad

and I actually went to the doctor on Monday when I brought Remy to get his stitches out and I was

like, can you please give her something in addition to all the other medicine that we're taking

and they sent us home with some narcotics like in little syringes that you scored into her their

mouth. So we did that for a couple days but yesterday, which was Wednesday, she was still limping a

lot but looked quite a bit better than she had for the past few days and over the weekend.

So I'm hoping that is like a step to us finally being on the path towards her getting better.

The elbow pads seem to be the standard of care for the hygroma that she has like all the websites
