It's awards season in Hollywood, a time when we take a look back at the best and worst movies

of 2018, predict the winners and losers, and even try our hand at the office pool. Well,

inquiring minds isn't exactly the podcast you typically go to to help you make your choices,

but what about the best science

stories in film and TV of 2018? To help us figure out which movies and TV are worth watching

or watching again, if science is your thing, I spoke to science communicator and arts

technica writer Jennifer Willett. She's built a career in part on her work covering the intersection

of science and culture.

She was even the former director of the Science and Entertainment Exchange, which is a National

Academy of Sciences initiative designed to provide TV and film writers and directors with the

support they need to add a little more science to their projects.
