you quality content and maybe even more frequent manner in a couple of different methods. So exciting. What's on the horizon and just want to thank everybody for what they've made possible in 2017 and we'll help really all the way back to 2010 or 29 whenever we started doing this podcast.

So very much appreciated the listener base and also Louisiana hot sauce. Simple product. Fantastic in result. Three ingredients and as consistent as an item as I've encountered in there.

1:41.0

A great partner to work with and they happen to have a great product that both you and I love and we couldn't be more fortunate to have the relationship with them that we do.

1:51.0

Absolutely. Happy New Year to you and happy New Year to Louisiana hot sauce. We got a lot of fan questions today, which is awesome and appreciate the listeners than we did past 1500 five star views on iTunes sometime recently. So that's pretty awesome.

2:05.0

Three categories today. We have coaching, football and recruiting just like Louisiana hot sauce has three simple ingredients. And so we have three simple categories. So we're going to go through all those. You want to just start at the top?

2:16.0

Yeah, let's just jump into coaching. I know a lot of people are, you know, it's topic to sure is some in the fan base or on the edge of the building about to jump off because we haven't named it deep. It's coordinated quite yet. So why don't we just begin the discussion with what is a reasonable timeline and what people should expect from this process and kind of how it plays itself out?

2:38.0

Well, I think some people are wondering if will it actually be going to have a defensive coordinator? Yeah. I mean, clearly it's it's time to flip out. All right. I said it was sarcasm, but I realized that look, I work in the industry. So I kind of understand the timeline and other people don't. So that's why they rely on us. So I'm not trying to belittle folks.

2:56.0

What is a reasonable timeline for getting most of the coaching hire done? Well, the dead period ends on January 11th. Dead period is the time in which you could not actually contact recruits. That's not in person, not calling them, not texting them, that type of stuff.

3:10.0

Just not supposed to have any contact with them. Unlike the quiet period where you can still do, you know, non face to face contact. Right now, you know what most coaches are doing.

3:19.0

I do. I do. And the whole calendar was was tipped on in because of the early signing period. It's just a whole it's a whole different process and most coaches are actually trying to get reacquainted with their family and take a take a second away from the office right now.

3:36.0

Exactly. They're enjoying some family time. They're seeing some friends. They're like trying to remember what their kids names are. Nothing's really going on right now.

3:45.0

I mean, maybe they're spending a couple hours looking at some film of potential recruits, but for the most part, they understand who they want to offer. And look, if when a new coach gets hired, he's going to get handed a sheet. Hey, this is who we're on. This is so we feel like we have a decent shot to get these are kids who still need to call just in case that type of stuff.

4:03.0

So January 11th, and I know people are like, I know today is the third, right. That's eight days away. People are going to lose their minds, but that's okay because you don't really tag. It's not operating on a fans timeline or comment section timeline or a message board time.

4:18.0

It's just not he's trying to get the best guy and the best fit that he can get. So for even the coordinator, whether that's Jim Leonard or you know, whether that's maybe a guy on the Jordan staff or maybe a guy on LSU staff or Alabama staff, who knows, I think those are all very possible things.

4:36.0

By the way, I don't know that that was just a random hypothetical. Yeah. So I think that that's something to pay attention to. Now, Georgia, Bama are still in the playoff.

4:46.0

So they probably won't have firm decisions made until after that. When's that playoff game next next Monday, the eight the eight is the ninth is the evening of the eighth, I believe.

4:57.0

So that gives you three days after that to have your hire made by by the end of the dead period. And I think most of the hires we made by January 11th, maybe there's one or two scrambles or call as well. Look, we're going to have a lot of coach movement, not just at four to state, but all across the industry because what date does the new coaching.
