108 to 85 Kevin Durant back-to-back finals MVP's he finished with 20 points a triple double and a well-earned plus 30 in this game

Team best Steph Curry 37 points a little bit of gunning late 7 of 15 from 3 in a bounce back effort

He maybe could have been the MVP if he hadn't had just such a stinker overall in game three

But it is Kevin Durant LeBron James 23 points in 41 minutes 7 to 13 for the field

8 assists was revealed to have been playing with a severely contused hand after punching a whiteboard after game one

And he expressed his frustration basically saying that he thought some of the calls had taken the game away

And they had all those other issues that we can talk more about that a little bit

I don't think that made the difference in this series maybe Cleveland wins game three with a better effort from him

And he certainly was still really good

But he wasn't just the absolutely dominating transcendent player that he was through his first three rounds at any game of the season

So the Warriors of now won three out of four championships the last two with Kevin Durant in tow

Where do you want to start here as someone who has observed this run very closely over the last few years?

Well, it was kind of interesting and in a strange way appropriate how anti climactic this was like because I was thinking about it going through

And I mean obviously the most the most big closeout game of these four was the one the Cleveland one game seven

Unbelievable game but also went down to the last shot and this wasn't that and it was a very unusual season

But not all that surprising when you consider the overall context

It's very very hard for a team to make it to foreshade NBA final something both of these franchises did which is pretty amazing

And throughout the regular season there was this big question that you and I talked about a lot on this show on the Twitter NBA show and in person

About whether they really had that defensive mojo or whether it was just age you know especially with Dremon Green and Andre Wadala

And the answer we got on the defensive end seemed to be a pretty definitive yes

They still had it and so what I'm gonna be really interested in as we move forward
