So the 2018 Oscar nominations were announced this morning.

I was asleep and in pain at the same time, but you guys were on the site, manning the site and covering the nominations.

So, before we get into the nominations, Jacob, tell us what are the biggest winners of this year?

In terms of a sheer number of nominations. The clear front of the pack is led by the

shape of water who had 13 nominations, which is huge. Double digits are always a

big deal with the Oscars, but 13

we're getting really close to like Titanic numbers.

but I'll have to do with the fact that it's a rare movie that has elements that are eligible for all the acting, creative trophies, and also all the technical stuff like cinematography, editing, sound mixing, all that stuff.

So it played to pretty much every single corner of the awards,

But it was followed by Dunkirk with eight nominations,
